Volunteer

The FGTA is operated entirely by volunteers. It is only through the work of volunteers that the various committees can function effectively and contribute to the continuing operation of our trail system. There are several committees that carry out the important and essential tasks needed to help the FGTA to function. We encourage you to select and join a Committees, spend an hour or two each month contributing to the work it a committee undertakes.

Volunteers serve on committees, they help organize events and help maintain not only the trail, but the Associations' spirit as well. There are plenty of interesting jobs in the office or on the trail. So if you're interested in lending a hand give us a call.

On the Trail - Trail volunteers build, clear brush, and repair areas along the trail. Volunteers can join a FGTA Maintenance committee, serve on the Outreach committee, lend a hand on the Projects Committee, lead interpretive hikes and so much more.

Administration - Volunteers assist in all aspects of FGTA, including publications, fundraising, grant writing, membership development, office management and more.

To volunteer at the FGTA please call:

Heinz Kaswurm at 613.525.2219 or
Jeff Poissant at 613.361.1507.

We have something just for you!
